Does battery restoration / repairing actually work?
Yes, only if the restoration is done correctly and the steps in the process are meticulously followed.
After our restoration process is complete, we test each of the modules (cells) in the battery pack three times for Capacity, Internal Resistance, Operating Temperature and so on to ensure that the stringent quality standards set by our American counterparts are met. Only then will the hybrid battery be released from our lab.
Our strict adherence to quality and our past track record allows us to provide a 1 Year (12 month) warranty for the entire battery pack without any fear. Our warranty covers all the modules (cells) in your battery pack. This warranty can thereafter be extended by further rounds of the Hybrid Battery Conditioning Treatment.
Provided that you use your vehicle with love and follow the recommended maintenance services, you will be able to use the battery for more that 4 years.

How long will the hybrid battery restoration take?
Our scientists, lab technicians and vehicle technicians work around the clock to reduce the lead time for the restoration process. This ensures that our customers are back on the road as soon as possible. The entire restoration process takes between 6 to 8 hours.
DrHybrid (By The Kandy Tyre House) is the only workshop in Sri Lanka with qualified technicians open until 11pm on all seven days of the week. This means that you can collect your vehicle within the day.
Alternatively, we have an island-wide mobile team who will visit your home or place of work to remove and install the hybrid battery.
Hybrid Battery Conditioning: The Science
Most Toyota and Honda hybrid batteries are made up of Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) cells. As with most batteries, a hydroxide solution is the electrolyte used to promote the movement of ions (pass the current). Overtime, as the hybrid battery is charged and discharged during use, this hydroxide solution starts to crystallize and a battery 'memory effect' is created. This reduces the capacity of the battery and increases the internal resistance of the cells. Eventually, the cells will start to fail.
Hybrid Battery Conditioning is a periodic treatment process recommended for NiMH batteries. The process involves using a specialist, pre-programmed software to carefully breakdown the crystals and remove the 'memory effect' using an external current.
As a result, the capacity of the cells increase and their internal resistance falls. Thereby, significantly extending the life of your Toyota or Honda hybrid battery.
