Full Module Replacement
The risk for customers when directly installing a recondition hybrid battery is very high.
-
The battery sits idle while being shipped from Japan to Sri Lanka. This can take up to two months (including customs clearing).
-
The conditions faced by the battery during use in Japan and then during transport to SL cannot be certain.
DrHybrid has designed a streamlined process to overcome this risk and to ensure our customers receive a battery which can be used for over four years. The steps are as follows:
-
Import low mileage batteries from Japan from trusted suppliers with whom we have done business with for over 25 years.
-
Dis-assemble each battery into individual modules (cells) in our lab.
-
Test each module for Capacity, Internal Resistance, Operating Temperature and so on using our state-of-the-art U.S. equipment.
-
Repeat the test to improve result reliability.
-
An automated algorithm (developed by our American supplier) selects the modules with the best results and automatically groups the modules to create high-capacity module packs.
-
These packs then undergo our NiMH Conditioning Treatment to further improve their Capacity and Internal Resistance.
-
Each module is then tested again. Only if the test results exceed the predefined minimum cut-off levels, will the battery be released from our laboratory to be fitted onto the vehicle.
This process significantly reduces the risk to end-users as each module (cell) installed has been rigorously tested, conditioned and balanced.
This is supported by the 2 Year (24 Month) battery-to-battery replacement warranty we offer.
The warranty can be extended, to up to 4 years, through further rounds of NiMH Conditioning.
You could also pay the battery in up to 36 month installments using your credit card.
